How to Prepare Your Quilt
- Remove threads from the Top and Back, especially dark ones which might create a shadow from inside the quilt.
- Ensure the Back and Batting are 4″ (small quilts) to 5″ (large quilts) larger than the Top on all 4 sides.
- Even up the top and bottom edges of the Top and Back to aid in loading the quilt square on the frame.
- Stay stitch edges of the Top where there is heavy piecing (for instance, if the Top is pieced and doesn’t have borders).
- If using 108″ wide fabric for the Back, it must be washed. This is because 108″ wide fabric typically has a loose weave and may come out of the wash with quite a skew.
- We can accept quilts up to 120″ wide (King Size).
